Since opening in 2014, we have strived to provide the best training and competitions & event in the UK.

NLBR is owned and run by myself Sami Nash. My aim is to provide top level training to horse and rider in both barrel racing and Pole Bending.

WHAT IS BARREL RACING 

Barrel Racing was formed approximately 1931 in Stomford Texas and was only an 8 figure pattern. In 1939 it was changed to the clover leaf pattern. it was first judged as a competition in 1949.

Barrel racing was first formed to allow woman to compete in rodeos, now both men and woman compete together,

Barrel racing is now one of the richest rodeo sports in the world 

What Is Pole Bending

Pole Bending is believed to have been started by the Nez Perce Native Indians of America. They would run 2 lots of poles side by side and the loser would be eliminated and the winner would go move the brackets to race other winners. 

Today the course is a set of 6 poles and a timed event
